The University of Nigeria Alumni Association, United Kingdom (UNAA-UK) Foundation Scholarship and Grant Scheme
Call for Application
The UNAA-UK Foundation invites applications from current students at the University of Nigeria for the 2026 scholarship/grant application round. This year’s funding is a one-off award to support high-performing and exceptional students. UNAA-UK Foundation is particularly committed to fostering academic excellence and inclusivity by providing financial assistance to outstanding students and those with disabilities who are experiencing financial difficulties in continuing their studies.
Scholarship Overview
- Number of awards: 24
- Value per award: ₦400,000
- Inclusivity policy: Awards will be distributed on a 50/50 percent ratio, 12 students each, between students with disabilities and non-disabled students.
- The application closes at midnight (00:00 GMT) on 30 April 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this scholarship/grant, applicants must:
- Be a currently registered student at the University of Nigeria with a valid matriculation number.
- Have 3.5 CPGA and above if a non-disabled student or 3.0 CPGA and above if a disabled student.
- Not be a final or first year student by 1st October 2025.
- Have a valid student email address with the University of Nigeria domain.
- Not be a holder of UNAA-UK scholarship/grant or have received similar financial assistance from any UNN Alumni body.
How to Apply
- Visit the UNAA-UK Foundation portal at https://unaaukfoundation.org/
- Complete the online application form by going to the Scholarships & Grants and clicking on Apply Now. It will take you to a page to verify your email address; only UNN email addresses are accepted. After completing this process, a link will be sent to your email. Please follow the link to access and complete the application form.
- After submission, the form will be automatically sent to your HOD and/or Exam Officer’s email address to validate your studentship and cross-check your information to either approve or decline your application. Once this is done, the application process is complete, and your form will be sent to the scholarship committee for processing.
All applicants will be informed about the outcome of their application. Successful applicants will be required to sign an acceptance form for the award and a consent form for the use of their information and photographs/videos for UNAA-UK Foundation promotional purposes and for preparing an annual report to the UK HMRC.
