Scholarship Requirement Explained: Why I need this Scholarship: Being a visually impaired student is challenging and costly. I spend more to make my study materials accessible and to handle daily academic and personal needs. I come from a poor background. My parents are old, retired, and in poor health, so they cannot support my education. I often depend on help from others. This scholarship would ease my financial burden and give me hope. With this support, I can focus fully on my studies, do better in school, and work toward a future where I can help others like me.

Disability Status: Yes

Disability Explained: I am a visually impaired student, I am also faced with a loss of sensation in my hands. This occurred as a result of a poorly treated meningitis in 2018. This led to my dropping out of school then as I was in my second year. I stayed at home for some years in recovery and learning to use my hands again. Ever since then, I have limited ability to use my hands as I barely feel anything, likewise my vision; however, I was able to take jamb again through assistive means, and that is how I have been managing as a student.
